This page explains what The Clearance Rate collects when you sign up for the newsletter, why, and what happens to it afterwards.
What we collect
When you join, we ask for your name, your email address, whether you work in real estate or are just curious about it, and which topics you'd like us to cover. That's the complete list — we don't run analytics trackers, ad pixels, or any other data collection on this site beyond the signup form itself. The on-page translate button (English/한국어) is a separate, optional tool for reading this website — it's powered by Google Translate, runs entirely in your own browser, and doesn't send us anything or get stored against your subscription.
Why we collect it
To send you the newsletter, and to get a sense of what our readers actually want more or less of. Nothing else — your answers aren't used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond producing the newsletter.
How it's stored
Your details are stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Access to that database is restricted to a password-protected portal that only the person running this newsletter can reach — there's no public page or API that exposes subscriber information.
Who can see it
Only the operator of The Clearance Rate. We don't sell, rent, share or otherwise hand your details to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party — ever.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If you sign up again with the same email address, your latest answers simply replace your previous ones.
Every edition includes an unsubscribe link, unique to you. Clicking it takes effect immediately — you're removed from future sends there and then, no waiting, no confirmation email required. If you change your mind, the same link resubscribes you just as instantly. If you don't, your details are permanently deleted three days after you unsubscribe — not just marked inactive, actually removed from our database.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it outright — just email us (below). We'll action deletion or correction requests promptly.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies for visitors. The only cookie in use is a login session cookie for the newsletter operator's private admin portal — it's never set on a visitor's browser and contains no personal information.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle your information changes, we'll update this page and adjust the date at the top.
